A ancient evil has slumbered for many a millennia, far older than that of Sephiroth and much much older than Sin itself. This evil was so great, that it nearly destroyed the world of Spira. The war lasted for thousands upon thousands of years until finally…Maelstrom up and vanished. As for his followers…they as well went into hiding. Maelstorm however, when he vanished, he went into slumber, whereabouts unknown. For he grew bored of the world, a once great force to be reckoned with gone, the world of Spira cheered and had a grand party to celebrate.

Yet, now we spin off to the present, this is after Vegnagun. A flux ripped upon the threads of reality and opened up a sort of wormhole, ripping those from Midgar, straight into Spira. Why they were brought here is still a mystery to them. But, stranger things began to happen. Zanarkand began to become very…unreachable. No matter what they did, air ships could not enter. It was as if some force was preventing them from entering, not even could they enter on foot. Flying above it of course was very possible, and those who dared look at the destroyed city below, would see a massive egg of sorts, a black egg with dark blue runes. No one of this age knew what it was, so Bevelle began to search the Archives….will they found out this mystery….or will it remain as such?
